There are a few different ways to delete individual item records from the system.
From the Staff Catalog
Find the item in either version of the staff catalog and click on the View link by the barcode.
This will open the Item Status page for the item. Choose the Delete Items option from the Actions Menu.
Using Item Status
Go to Item Status from the Portal Page or Cataloging menu at the top of the screen.
Scan the item barcode. The item will automatically be checked and selected.
Select Delete from the Actions menu.
From Holdings View
In the new staff catalog, find the record for the items you want to delete, and choose Holdings View.
Use the checkboxes to select the items you want to delete.
Choose Delete Items from the Actions menu
