Create Serial Item Template
Templates are used to create copies when receiving. These templates are similar to regular item templates, but do not contain statistical categories and are stored separately. Serial Item Templates can be created and edited from the Administration–>Serials menu.
From the Administration menu:
- Select “Serials Administration”
- Select “Serial Item Templates”
- Click on “Create Template”
- Enter a name for the template and fill out the template form by selecting/entering values for relevant fields
- Click to Save the template
Editing Prediction Pattern Templates
Prediction Pattern Templates can be edited from the Administration–> Serials menu or from the subscription itself.
From the Administration menu:
- Select “Serials Administration”
- Select “Prediction Pattern Templates”
- Select a template that is similar to (e.g. similar publication schedule) to the patten you wish to create
- Choose “Edit Record” from the Actions menu
- The prediction pattern template wizard will open; use the pattern wizard to set up the prediction pattern
- Change the name of the template
- Select your owning library branch
- Select who to share the template with; NOTE: it is recommended that you save and try the template before sharing it with the consortium
To create a new prediction pattern:
- Choose “New Record”
- Enter a name for your prediction pattern; the name should be generic, unless the pattern applies only to a specific title
- Use the pattern wizard to set up the prediction pattern
- Choose the Owning Library
- Choose either “System” or “Branch” with which to share the template
- Click to “Save”
