When you enter a patron record, you should enter a password and give that information to the patron. NOBLE provides cards with random passwords on them that you can use, or you can click on the Generate Password for a random four digit PIN.
After you save the record, the password doesn’t display, and the box looks empty. If a patron has forgotten their password and wants you to assign a new one, you can use the password card, use the Generate Password button, or enter the password of their choice.
You can also test a patron’s password by choosing the Test Password option under the Other menu. Enter the password and click Verify.
